Cruz Apodaca

APODACA, Cruz, age 82, of Albuquerque, NM passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, November 22, 2009. Cruz was born to Miguel and Beatrice (Barela) Torres in Albuquerque, NM on May 3, 1927. Cruz was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Alfredo Apodaca and daughter Erlinda Valencia. She is survived by her children; Priscilla Edwell, Gloria Anaya, Robert Apodaca and wife Debra, Trini Apodaca, Frieda Apodaca, and Johnny Anaya and wife Lori, 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Cruz was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend; she was an adventurous soul who enjoyed exposing her children to new experiences and also loved cooking for her family. She was a Harvey Girl and took great joy in tending her plants and flowers. Pallbearers will be: Billy Edwell, Johnny Anaya, Jr., Alfredo Anaya, Jacob Edwell, Robert Apodaca, Jr. and Dominic Quintana, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Johnny Anaya, Sr., Alfred Anaya, Cristino Edwell and Ernest Valencia.
