The family of Curtiss W. Moses sorrowfully announces his passing on March 11, 2024. Curt was born on September 27, 1933, in Lexington, Oklahoma. He is survived by his loving wife of over 67 years, Jane, his children: Scott Moses (Janice), Claire Olona (Gene), Carolyn Rhodes (Chuck) and Eric Moses (Stacy) and by his grandchildren: Nicole Fernandez (Tyrone), Tyler Duvall, Sara Rhodes (Alex Wetzel), Sam Rhodes (Amanda Pilcher), and Daniel Moses; and four great-grandchildren; his brother Loren Moses (Harriett) and nephew Michael Andrews (Jane). Curt graduated from Oklahoma University in Mechanical Engineering and worked in the Nuclear Weapons Department at Sandia National Laboratories for 37 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, hiking, skiing. In retirement he worked with Habitat for Humanity as well as building and flying his ultralight planes. He also enjoyed traveling the globe with Jane. His favorite trips were to Nepal and Africa. He enjoyed painting, woodworking and the family cabin near Bayfield Colorado. A Memorial service will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church (215 Locust St NE 87102). He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
