Cynthia Marie Hofmann

Cindy Hofmann passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 with her parents by her side, at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Cindy was 16 years old and a freshman at Rio Rancho High School.

Cindy is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Thomas F. Mumford and Herbert Hofmann.

She is survived by her parents, Gary & Mary Kay Hofmann of Rio Rancho, NM; brothers, Scott (Frances) and Ken of Rio Rancho, NM; sister, Jasmine (Sean) of Albuquerque, NM; nephew, Shamus; niece, Alana both of Albuquerque, NM ; grandmothers, Lucetta Mumford  of Rio Rancho, NM and Martha Irvin of Perkasie, PA.

Cindy fought through multiple strokes and brain tumors with a smile and a “thumbs-up” every day.  She was a joy to be around and maintained her sense of humor in spite of her challenges. She touched many lives in her short life. She was blessed to have care givers at Presbyterian Hospital, The University of New Mexico Hospital, Carrie Tingley Inpatient and Outpatient Services and Many others.

Cindy was a member of the Zia Freewheelers Bike Club through the Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation, a student at Sparrow Dance Productions and New Mexico Sled Hockey.

Services for Cindy will be on, Saturday, April 28, 2018.  Visitation at 1:00 PM, with a Memorial to follow, 2:00 PM, at Sara Road Chapel, 4310 Sara Road, Rio Rancho, NM.
