Dallas Delbert Witt

January 30, 1922 – March 3, 2020

Dallas passed away peacefully at home on March 3, 2020. He was 98 years of age. He was born in Maxwell, OK to Benjamin and Bessie Witt.

Dallas was a World War II Veteran and was a member of the Carpenters Union for 70 years here in New Mexico. He loved to play his fiddle and was a member of the Fiddlers & Musicians of New Mexico for 5 plus years.

He is survived by his son, Ronald Witt of Albuquerque, NM and daughter Patricia Watson (Kirk) of Rio Rancho, NM.

Ten grandchildren: Troy Witt (Glenda) of Ponderosa, NM; Kenneth Witt (Stephanie) of Ponderosa, NM; Brenda Bell (Chad) of Ponderosa, NM; Marla Gutierrez (Steven) of Bernalillo, NM; Cody Witt of Ponderosa, NM; Brandon Witt (Shenia) of Magdalena, NM; Amanda Witt of Lemitar, NM; Benjamin Witt of Lemitar, NM; Laura Hartwell of Santa Fe, NM; Stephen Hartwell of Centennial, CO.

Seven great-grandchildren: Clinton Witt; Stacy Witt; Chase Bell; Kirsten Witt; Jacob Markland; Jonathan Hartwell; Zoe Hartwell.

Two great-great-grandchildren: Steven Gutierrez and Levi Gutierrez.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107.
