Daniel D. Garcia

Daniel D. Garcia, age 79, loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at his home in Bernalillo, NM. Daniel was best known for his unwavering commitment, loyalty, and dedication to his beloved brother, Frank G. Chavez, through his over 40 years of service to Bernalillo Feed & Frank’s Conoco. 

Daniel loved spending time with his family, listening to music, working on and driving his classic cars, and attending car shows. He especially looked forward to his annual trip to Alamosa, Colorado.  

Daniel was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Rosarito Gonzales, and his beloved brother, Frank G. Chavez. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy; his children, Sharon (Phillip), Ruth (Jose), Eugene (Sierra); his grandchildren, Christopher, Danielle, Phillip Jr.; his great granddaughter, Auzana and a bonus great grandson, Andres. He is also survived by many cherished family members and friends who were all blessed to know him. 

Daniel’s faith, commitment and caring personality were an inspiration to all who knew him. He was a loving provider, best friend and trusted confidant to his children. He shared a welcoming smile and loving heart with everyone he met. He was selfless and always put the needs of others before his own. His legacy will be remembered and lived on in his family, along with those who knew him.  

Padre Querido you will be deeply missed until the day we meet again.  

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, with a Rosary at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Bernalillo. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery in Bernalillo.
