Dan V. Tran

Tran, Dan Age 61, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013. He was born in Nha Trang City, Viet Nam on July 31, 1951 to Nhon Van Tran and Thao Thi Ha. Dan attended the College of Law at Saigon University, Saigon, Viet Nam. He graduated from the University of New Mexico in Electrical Engineering. He proudly served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Third Infantry Division, Army of the Republic of Vietnam at Da Nang, Viet Nam. Dan was a prisoner of War in Viet Nam from 1975-1979. Then in 1982 Mr. Tran and his wife Thinh escaped from Viet Nam and immigrated to the United States and Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dan is survived by his loving wife, Thinh Phan; daughter, Lisa Tran; son, Andy Tran and numerous brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. Visitation will be on Friday, May 10, 2013 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. A Cremation Service will be on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. also at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale Blvd. SE.
