Daniel Mark Armer, age 64, left this world for a new adventure on Thursday, September 22, 2022. He was born to Frank and Elaine Armer on July 4, 1958. He was a firecracker since the day he was born, Dan will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, mischievous sense of humor, and caring, gentle heart.
Dan was a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he enjoyed a long and distinguished career with the State of New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department. He was profoundly admired by his coworkers for his intelligence, strong work ethic, compassion, empathy, and of course all his pranks.
Dan was also a dedicated athlete. He completed several marathons and triathlons, including the Duke City Marathon. He was most at home on the Sandia Mountains and was fond of hiking the La Luz trail, cross country skiing, and mountain biking.
Dan is survived by his 5 brothers and their spouses; Tom and Valerie Armer, Steve Armer, Jim and Priscilla Armer, Pat and Melanie Armer, and Tim Armer. Dan will forever hold the title of “Favorite Uncle”, leaving a profound impact on his 15 nieces and nephews and 12 great-nieces and nephews who will cherish all the joyous adventures he took them on. His family is determined to carry on his legacy of curiosity and to spread happiness in his honor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elaine Armer, his uncles Robert and Donald Kramer, and his deeply beloved aunt, Dorothy Kramer.
Dan’s family invites you to share in a celebration of his life. A rosary will be held at 10:30 AM on October 12, 2022 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl NE. A mass of Christian burial will be held immediately thereafter followed by a reception at Dan’s home.
Dan has indicated that memorial contributions be made in his name to the Animal Humane Society of New Mexico, 615 Virginia St. NE Albuquerque, NM 87108, animalhumanenm.org, 505-255-5523.
