Daniel A. Bravine Jr.

November 13, 1926 — August 11, 2020

Daniel A. Bravine, Jr, World War II Navy Veteran passed away August 11, 2020 in Albuquerque, NM., at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Sr and Millie Bravine, his first wife, Viola Curtis Bravine, and his brothers Pete, Bill, and Tony. He is survived and will be remembered by his loving wife, Polly Siverly Bravine, her two daughters and their families: Sherri and Mark Dudley, Cindy and John Hollabaugh, and also by his three children and their families: Rick and Sandi Bravine, Ron and Pat Garcia, and Gloria Bravine Beavis. Dan had six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren. 

Dan was born and raised in Chicago, IL and graduated from Lane Tech High School. After serving in the Navy, he worked with the US Postal Service in Chicago for 37 years, moving to Rio Rancho in 1981.

He worked part-time at Bien Mur Indian Market Center for several years and then, together with Polly, they volunteered at Presbyterian Rust and Downtown Hospitals. They both loved theater and ushered at Popejoy Presents, the Musical Theater SW, and the Adobe Theater.

Dan loved meeting new people at the Palmilla Senior Living where they lived and became greeters.

There will be a Graveside Service Wednesday, September 30th, at 2:00pm, at Daniel’s Family Funeral Services, Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd. NE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
