Daniel Edward Chavez

Chavez, Daniel Edward age 56, lost his battle with cancer on September 18, 2012. Danny was born on August 11, 1956. He was preceded in death by his parents Amarante and Lucy Chavez; two sisters; three brothers-in-law; and three nephews. He is survived by his only son, Shawn Daniel Chavez; his brothers and sisters, Dolly Ronan, Norman Chavez (Irene), Chico Chavez (Veronica), Pat Chavez (Dolores), Rachel Vigil, Ben Garcia (Janice), Mike Garcia (Charlotte), Richard Garcia (Diane) and Tina Garcia, his girlfriend Anne Egan and multiple nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. After high school, he joined the US Navy, proudly serving ten years. After discharge, he joined the workforce as a Copier Service Tech and was still in that field. He worked for Ricoh Business Solutions. He was an active member of Narcotics Anonymous, and had achieved five years and five months of being clean and sober. Both he and his family were very proud of this achievement. Dan loved riding his motorcycle, camping out, sharing storied and scaring people. He also enjoyed his two dogs, which her considered his girls. He was truly a people person and if you listened he would talk.
