Collins, Daniel Franklin
Age 75 went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, June 4, 2017. Daniel was a godly man who loved Jesus with all his heart. He loved nothing more than to be in God's presence, spending hours at his desk reading his bible and praising Jesus. He was also a devoted family man to his wife of 39 years, his children and grandchildren. He was born in Wisconsin and grew up in the country with his pet duck and chicken where his deep love and respect for animals began. He had a tender heart towards animals of all kind and was known to rescue any animal in his path that was in need. Daniel was a friend to anyone he met and enjoyed talking for hours especially over a good cup of coffee and donuts. He retired from Creamland Dairies after 29 years. He had many interests including gardening, archery, trucks, antique cars, tools and shopping. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Collins and two grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his children, Mary, Danielle (Mike), Jacqueline, Christine (Matthew), Stephen; 17 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Bill and Norma. Daniel is beloved by his wife, children and his many friends and he will be missed greatly. Visitation will be held Monday, June 12, 2017, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services ~ Sara Rd. Chapel. Service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2017, 12:00 pm, at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel. Interment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park 4310 Sara Rd. SE Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
