Daniel James Forrest

Daniel J. Forrest Jr, born June 13^th, 1940, passed away at 1:24pm on September 13^th, 2022, at the age of 82 years old. Unfortunately, Daniel was a victim of being hit by dementia/Alzheimer’s disease, a debilitating disease for which there is no cure as of yet. My daughter Maria and I started noticing his memory didn’t seem quite the same and often mentioned his military training as a sergeant in the national guards. He was officially diagnosed in August 2019 shortly after we moved to Rio Rancho, New Mexico, from Tewksbury, Massachusetts. At first except for loss of memory, he seemed not too different. Unfortunately about a month ago, he wound up a patient at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center and was a patient there for about two weeks. My daughter and I had him admitted to the Bee Hive Assisted Living in Rio Rancho where he was well taken care of while he was there the remaining week he was alive. Dan was a manager of a Kennedy Batter & Egg Store in Somerville and other areas in Massachusetts. For several years Dan worked for an ink company, after that a warehouse worker, then as store clerks for Walmart in Tewksbury and Macy’s in Burlington, MA. He is survived by his loving wife Teresa and daughter Maria. In lieu of flowers, we would prefer that any donations be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
