Daniel R. Harris

HARRIS_Daniel R. Harris, age 90, of the Bear Canyon Retirement Community in Albuquerque, passed away comfortably at Kaseman Presbyterian Hospice on January 27, 2010 after a brief illness. Daniel was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 9, 1919 and served his nation honorably, enlisting in the United States Navy in 1941. His wife of fifty-seven years, Virginia Barr Harris, and his son, David Lowell Harris, preceded him in death. Surviving are his daughter Patricia Jean O'Connor and son-in-law George R. O'Connor of Orange County, California and daughter-in-law Ruby Mendez-Harris of Socorro, New Mexico. In keeping with Daniel's wishes, there will be no formal memorial service. The Daniels Family Funeral Services have cared for Daniel's last needs. Donations to the American Cancer Society or American Lung Association or Hospice are requested in lieu of flowers or cards.
