On Thursday, September 15th, we lost our beloved Daniel — our “Dan the Man", our “Uncle D.”
Daniel is greatly loved and will be deeply missed by so many, most especially his parents, Melinda and Larry Leonhardt, his siblings: Derick Leonhardt, Ryan Leonhardt, Chanelle Leonhardt Kirby, (David Kirby), Alex Leonhardt, (Rayna Flores), and Andrew Leonhardt along with his nieces and nephew, Joslyn Leonhardt, Casen Leonhardt and Emersyn Kirby.
To sum up Daniel’s life with mere words will of course fall short, as he was a young man of great depth. Despite being described by others as “the ultimate cool kid” Daniel had a pure, genuine heart who sought so much more than this world could give and always had a keen awareness of all things spiritual. He never was impressed with the idea of chasing after materialistic success, but always thought outside of the box seeking after Truth.
He was incredibly talented and excelled at everything he tried. Music always came naturally to him. Since he was a toddler he could hear any song, then sit at the piano or hold a guitar and figure out how to play it. He spent many years doing BMX and building ramps with his little brothers. He excelled in sports and loved watching them, especially the LA Rams.
He was a devoted uncle who loved teaching his nieces and nephew how to play piano and play sports. He took pride fixing up his beloved 1994 Chevy Truck “Taz,” and enjoyed fishing with friends.
May he finally be at peace, resting in Divine Mercy.
