David I Baxter

Baxter, David I., TSGT USAF RET., Baxter, David I. TSGT. USAF RET. died February 5, 2012. He was born June 22, 1947 in Lexington, KY. He was the son of David and Eva Baxter who preceded him in death. He was an avid UNM Lobos Football fan, and a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Amazingly, he completed the Albuquerque Journal, USA Today and other crossword puzzles daily. He attended Morehead State College before enlisting in the USAF in 1969. His 22 years of service took him to Thailand, Spain, England, Germany, and several stateside assignments. David married Janet Ruth in July 1974. Upon his retirement, he worked at American Furniture in Albuquerque, NM, for 18 years. After retiring, he volunteered at the VA Hospital in Albuquerque. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet; his sons, Jason and Jarrod; six grandchildren and a host of caring relatives and friends who will all miss him dearly. The Family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to all relatives and friends who were so kind and supportive during this time. Your kindness will always be remembered.
