David R. Benavidez

Benavidez, David Rey (AKA Crazy Dave)Loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Monday, November 5, 2012 at the age of 42. He was born in Albuquerque, NM. David adored his family and loved spending time with them. He enjoyed writing poetry, marital arts, riding his Harley and collecting guns. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Hope Benavidez. David is survived by his loving fiance, Stephanie DeVargas; parents, Tom and Kathleen Benavidez; daughters, Marissa Benavidez-Ricci, Megan De Lariva, son, step-son, Anthony DeVargas and step-daughter, Johniqua DeVargas; brothers, Tomas R. Benavidez and fiance, Melissa Encinias and their son Evan Ludi and Michael R. Benavidez; nieces, Danielle A. Sufuentes, Justeen K. Benavidez, Alexonderia R. Benavidez, Zaylee R. Benavidez; nephews, Michael M. Benavidez and wife Vickie; great-nephews, Michael Rey Benavidez and Lawerence Benavidez and numerous other family and friends. All Services will take place at St. Edwin Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona Rd SW on Thursday, November 8, 2012 starting with a Visitation from 9:30 am to 10:00 am, Reciting of the Rosary at 10:00 am and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Polvadera Cemetery, Polvadera, NM. Pallbearers are Tomas, Michael Sr., Michael Jr. Benavidez, Julio Antillon, Paul Anthony Chavez and Eusebio DeVargas. Honorary Bearers are Shane Lukesh, John Carrillo, Richard Montoya, Leonard Pacheco and Polo Rueda. The family will be giving David his "Last Run" using ChoppHearse Side Car and would like to extend an open invitation for all who would like to ride in David&s honor.
