David Brian Chavez

David Brian Chavez, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend went home to be with our Lord and Savior Thursday, September 22, 2011at the age of 43. He was born January 4, 1968 to Elevinio and Lucy Chavez, in Dalhart TX. David adored his family and loved spending time with them. He also enjoyed riding his Harley and singing karaoke. He was a letter carrier for the US Postal Service. David proudly served in the US Army, and bravely served overseas for one year in 2003 (Operation Iraqi Freedom). He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Elevinio Chavez; grandmother, Erma Carrejo; uncle, Andy Don Chavez and aunt, Nancy Carrejo. David is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Chavez, son, David Brian Chavez Jr.; parents, Elevinio A. Chavez Sr. and Lucy A. Chavez, brothers, Elevinio A. Chavez Jr. and wife Kristin, Adam Boy Chad Chavez and wife Crystal; nieces and nephews, Bradley Chavez, Brittany Chavez, Andrew Chavez, Cassidi Miller, Tobias Nico Chavez and Isabel Star Chavez; grandfather, Raymond David Vera; grandmother, Ruth Chavez and numerous other family and friends. David will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. David dearly loved his aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Visitation will take place at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, Tuesday September 27, 2011 from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm with a reciting of the Rosary at 7:00 pm.; Mass of Christian Burial will also be celebrated at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church Wedesday September 28, 2011 at 10:00 am. Celebrant Deacon Pilar. Pallbearers are Adam Boy Chad Chavez, David Brian Chavez Jr., Elevinio A. Chavez Jr., Bradley Chavez, Troy Martinez and Mike Alderate. Honorary pallbearers are Griego Vallejos, Dominic Vallejos, Joseph Lucero, Jeremy Lucero and Anthony Clark. All those who wish to ride in David's honor, we will be using ChoppHearse for the funeral procession please join us in his last bike run to Santa Fe National Cemetery following Mass. David 's care has been entrusted to:
