David Brian Gammon MD

David Brian Gammon, beloved son, brother, father and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, December 10, 2016.
A memorial service for David will be held on Thursday, December 15th, at 1pm at Trinity on the Marketplace, 2520 Chama NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112. A reception and time to share memories will follow the service at the same location.
Dr. Gammon was born on August 16, 1953, in Pawtucket, RI. He grew up in Maine. He graduated from Fair Haven Union High School, Fair Haven, VT, in 1971. He graduated magna cum laude from Texas Christian University in 1975 and from University of Vermont Medical School in 1979. He practiced medicine for more than 40 years in West Virginia, Minnesota, Vermont, North and South Carolina, Maine and New Mexico. He loved treating patients and took great joy in helping people wherever and whenever he could.
David married Elizabeth Stannard, of Fair Haven, VT, in 1978. They were married for over 29 years.
Dr. Gammon served on the West Haven, Vermont School Board, and as a deacon in the First Congregational Church of Fair Haven, VT.
David loved hunting, especially at his hunting camp in Warroad, Minnesota. He studied Shotokan karate. He enjoyed reading, discussing politics and the Red Sox.
David is survived by his parents, Rev. Glendon and Marjorie Gammon of Peru, ME, his children, Lisa Bueno of Albuquerque, Jennifer Jackson and husband, Eric, of West Haven, VT, and Brian Gammon of Fergus Falls, MN; his brothers, and sisters, Rev. Stephen Gammon and his wife Helen, of Coventry, RI, Dr. Gary Gammon and his wife Jennifer, of Pinehurst, NC, Cheryl Tyler and her husband Michael, of Brunswick, GA, Marcia Eyster and her husband Philip, of Sangerville, ME, and Marilee Colpitts and her husband Rick of Peru, ME; his 3 grandchildren, Timothy, Emma and Mercy Bueno, and many nieces and nephews.
