David Bryant Mackie

MACKIE ��?? David B. Mackie, loving father and husband, passed away on July 21, 2011 at the age of 72. David grew up in Raton, NM. He received his Bachelor��?�s degree from New Mexico State University and his Master��?�s degree from the University of Texas in El Paso. He became a public school educator and counselor for more than 30 years with the New Mexico and Arizona school systems. He was loved by his students and fellow teachers and worked in many places in New Mexico including Las Cruces, Dulce, Farmington, and Shiprock. He also worked for several years in Kayenta, AZ. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, collecting stamps and coins, and was very involved with gathering and writing the family genealogy. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pat, his sister, Diana, and brother-in-law, Hugh. He is also survived by his daughter, Charlotte, son-in-law, Scott, and grandson, Colin. David��?�s wishes were to have a small family memorial which will be held at David and Pat��?�s home on July 26, 2011 and David will be buried at the Johnson Mesa Cemetery on Johnson Mesa near Raton, NM.
