David McCoy

David “Dave” Murray McCoy, (79) was called home to be with the Lord on February 28, 2017 with his loving wife Linda by his side. Dave was born in Grand Junction, Colorado on February 12, 1938. He lived the majority of his adult life in Albuquerque, New Mexico and moved to Elgin, Texas in 2015.
Dave proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, 1956-1962.  Dave enjoyed a long and prestigious career in non-profit management as Executive Director of AGC Building Branch, RGUCA, AFSA, and NM SMACNA,  retiring in 2013.  He loved serving God and volunteered in Children's Ministry, Meals On Wheels, and did mission trips to Mexico.  
David was very dedicated to family and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  He enjoyed walking his dog,  talking with neighbors and visiting the local shops and businesses in downtown Elgin.  He never met a stranger.
Dave is survived by his wife, Linda McCoy, their four children; Gwen McCoy, Danny and his wife Jane Jernigan, Jill and her husband Lance Hunter of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Brandace and her husband Brent Hudson of Georgetown, Texas, along with eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Monday, March 13, 2017 at Hoffmantown Church, Albuquerque, NM Reception to follow.
