David Lee McDaniel

David Lee McDaniel, a loving husband, dedicated father, proud veteran, and longtime employee at ABF Freight, has peacefully passed away on May 9, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born on February 20, 1939, in Meredosia, Illinois.
 
David lived a fulfilling life filled with hard work, love for his family, and service to his country. His career at ABF Freight was a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to his family.. David also bravely served in the Navy, demonstrating his patriotism and bravery.
 
Outside of work and service, David had a passion for fishing and visiting the casino. These hobbies brought him joy and relaxation throughout his life.
 
He is survived by his daughters Anita Leinheiser, Tamara Klimaj, Kimberly McDaniel, as well as his sister-in-law Barbara Lang and her husband Wilfred Lang. David will be fondly remembered by his 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his loyal companion Rosie.
 
David is preceded in death by beloved wife Martina McDaniel and his parents George and Irene McDaniel.
 
David Lee McDaniel's kindness, dedication, and love for his family will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing he was loved and will be deeply missed.
