David Kenneth McDonald

David Kenneth (D.K.) McDonald, 71, of Bloomfield, passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. He was born October 1, 1939 in Big Lake, Texas to Bennie and Eldeane McDonald. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Melvin and Ted McDonald and a son, Dana McDonald. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lonil, sons, David (JoAnn), and Levi, daughters Lonni and Johnna (John) Downing. Also surviving are six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Kenneth worked in the oil fields from the beginning of his working days. He drove rig up trucks as an owner operator for more then 40 years. He took over the family business, McDonald Well Drilling, in 1963 drilling water wells all over the basin. We will all miss him. His family was very special to him.
