David P. Roady

Roady, David Preston Age 63, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 in Socorro, NM. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on November 23, 1949, to Floyd and Floy Mae (Lowe) Roady. Dave moved to Socorro at a young age and attended Socorro Public Schools. He graduated from Socorro High School and joined the U.S. Air Force where he enjoyed a career as an aircraft mechanic from 1969 to 1973. He worked as a Civil Servant for the U.S. Government for 43 years at White Sands Missile Range. He loved to fish, hunt, and tinker. Dave always made sure everything was in working order and would fix anything that needed attention. Despite physical setbacks and illness, Dave continued to persevere and carried out his handy man hobbies that he loved to do on a daily basis. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step-daughter, Michelle Baca-Peralta. Dave is survived by his devoted wife, Jan (Schmitt) Baca-Roady; his loving children, Stephanie Palic and husband, Allen, David Roady Jr. and wife, Christy, Lisa Simpson and husband, Rob, Becky James and husband, Simon; his step-son, Miguel Baca and wife, Mary Lou; his brother, Daniel Roady and wife, Sandy; his half-sister, Michelle Linteo and husband, Bill; his loving grandchildren, Tait Palic, Gunner Palic, Avery Palic, Kegan Roady, Bailey Roady, Kurt Simpson, Haley Simpson, Mitchell James, Haden James, Bradley James, Michael Peralta, Arianna Peralta, Brittany Peralta, and Jessica Baca. He also enjoyed his great grandchildren, Kristiannah Foote and Lyrix Cox . Cremation has taken place and the family will have private services.
