Deanna Marie Freeman Barr

Deanna Barr, 67, passed away peacefully at her loving family’s home on Sunday, January 16, 2011 in Farmington. She was born February 2, 1943 in Yuma, Arizona the daughter of Harold Freeman and Beverly (Christian) Freeman. She moved to Farmington 1970 with Lanny Barr and their children, Rick, Rory and Lori. Deanna had one brother Martin Freeman, and a sister-in-law Mary Jo of Yuma, AZ. She was a loving child, devoted wife, and mother. While raising her family in Farmington, she was a loving caregiver to many children which she welcomed into her home as she provided childcare in her home during her time in Farmington. Deanna returned to Yuma in 1990 to care for her parents where she remained until 2010. After being diagnosed with cancer, she returned to Farmington to be close to her children. Deanna is survived by her children, Rick Barr (Chris), Rory Barr (Mattie Montano) and Lori Barr (Jim Williams), seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, Harold (1990) and Beverly Freeman (2007) both of Yuma, AZ. Cremation will take place and memorial services are Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute St. in Farmington with Rev. Steve Carrington officiating.
