In Loving Memory of Deborah Lynn Matlock

Deborah (Debbie) Lynn Matlock (Henkle-Farley-Matlock,) passed away in her Albuquerque home on January 8, 2020 at the age of 72. She was born in Santa fe, NM in 1947 and then as a child moved to and grew up in Albuquerque where she attended St. Mary's Catholic School, graduated from Rio Grande High School in 1965, and later attended the University of Albuquerque and the University of New Mexico.

Several years before her passing, Debbie retired from secretarial work from both Sandia National Laboratories and then later from Albuquerque Public Schools. Her free time was most often spent with friends, family, and almost always with a book in her hand, always looking forward to the next one.

Debbie is survived by her daughter Kimberly Gray, two granddaughters, Chelsea and Shelby Gray, stepfather
James H. Gleason DDS, stepbrother and wife Craig and Debbie Gleason, stepsister and husband
Madge and Jeff Roberts, and sister-in-law Cheryl Henkle. She is preceded in death by her father Claude Vernon Henkle, her mother Bettie Claire (Baxter-Henkle) Gleason, and brother Brian Dexter Henkle.

There are no plans for a ceremony at this time as Debbie did not wish to have any services, however a very informal "celebration of life" will be scheduled at a later date. For more information or to be informed of the fore mentioned celebration, once planned, you can e-mail Kimberly Gray at kimg8320@yahoo.com.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.

Celebration of Life Services are pending and to be announced.
