Delia Lucero

LUCERO- Delia G. Lucero, 88 years old, went peacefully to be with her Lord Thursday morning 2 Dec 2010. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on February 13, 1922. She grew up in Los Griegos. She was the daughter of late Don Miguel and Deborah Garcia. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Ramon, Uvaldo, Melquiares, and Arturo. She was the last surviving member of the Garcia family. Delia is survived by her daughters Dolores Garcia and Roberta Lucero, and sons Waldo Lucero and his wife Mary, Chris Lucero and his wife Marie, and James Marcum-Lucero and his wife Pamela. She was adored and loved by her 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Celso Lucero, a WWII NM ARNG Bataan veteran. Delia treasured a best friendship with Sarah Varela that lasted over 70 years. ‘Lil’ Grams had a profound love for her life and family. Her Faith in God was evident in her radiant smile and pure soul. We part with heavy hearts but warm thoughts of her in Heaven finally with her mom and dad. Pallbearers are Sol Serna Ted Chavez, Mark Hovey, Richard Jimenez, Robert Torrez, and Thomas Torres.
