Services for Delta Matt Navajo, 36, were 10 a.m., today, Dec. 18, at Cope Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Patterson Curley officiated. Burial was in Houck Community Cemetery. Navajo died Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, in Albuquerque. She was born April 19, 1974, in Gallup, into the Black Streak People Clan for the Towering House People Clan. Navajo attended Sanders Valley High School. She worked various jobs to support her five children. Her hobbies included spending time with her children, family and friends. She made dream catchers. Survivors include her sons, Artrist Paul Yazzie, Justin Alex Yazzie, both of Gallup; daughters, Chasity Leann Yazzie of Tuba City, LeAndrea Yazzie of Gallup, Beyonce Nicole Yazzie of Gallup; parents, Alex Matt of Wide Ruins, Delta Navajo of Lupton. Navajo was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charlie Matt, Mary Matt. Pallbearers were Freddie Gaddy, Steven Grey, Leanderson Gaddy, Jerome Shorty, Donovan Billie.
