Denise Jeanette Jenkins

Denise Jeanette Jenkins, Age 57, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully in her home in Albuquerque, NM, on January 21st surrounded by her family.

Denise is survived by her mother, Jean (Hall) Chapman; husband, Sid Jenkins; her son and daughter-in-law, Tyler and Marissa Jenkins; her daughter and partner, Kaylan Jenkins and Shianne Templin; her brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Kathy Koch, and their children and grandchildren; and her brother's son, Donny. She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Chapman, and her brother and sister-in-law, Don and Jean Koch.

Denise was born in El Paso, Texas, on January 23, 1966, to Jean and Richard Chapman. She graduated from Eastwood High School in 1984. On October 6, 1993, and October 18, 1996, respectively, she and Sid welcomed Tyler and Kaylan, who were the most important part of her life. 

Denise was a devoted mother. She enjoyed camping, reading, and supporting the children in their different hobbies of sports, music, and art. Denise had a huge soft spot in her heart for all animals, especially her dogs. She was a spiritual woman and loved hearing her mother play piano at church. Denise also attended Presbyterian Mosaic Church led by Pastor Adam (her nephew-in-law), who will be officiating her services. 

A funeral service is scheduled for February 9th at Daniels Family Funeral Home at 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE Albuquerque NM. The visitation will be held from 10-11AM and the funeral service will be held from 11-12. in lieu of flowers please donate to the humane society or a local animal shelter.
