Derrick Otero, Sr.

OTERO-Derrick Otero, Sr., beloved and devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend, passed away after an illness, Wednesday, July 29, 2009. He was born on May 25, 1969 in Blanco, NM and was a resident of Torreon, NM. Derrick enjoyed Football, Baseball, Basketball, coaching, cooking, traveling, playing guitar, singing, and being close to his family. He was preceded in death by a brother, Elliott Toledo. Derrick is survived by his loving wife, Harriet Otero; his children, Tyler, Derrick Jr., Shane, Myles, and Cherone Otero; his loving mother Helen Toledo; father Roy Otero Sr., his brothers and sisters, Pernell Toledo, Roy Otero, Jr., Veronica Toledo, Darilynn Otero, Myra Hoskie, and Kari Toledo; paternal grandparents, Jose and Laura Otero; maternal grandparents, Jose and Annie Toledo; and other numerous relatives and friends. Derrick will be greatly missed by all. Casket Bearers were Hardy Negale, Larrison Castillo, Carlos Toledo, Brian Hoskie, Titus Negale, Dethel Brown, and Chico. Honorary Bearers were Pernell Toled, Roy Otero Jr., Tyler Otero, Derrick Otero Jr., Shane Otero, Myles Otero, and Cherone Otero.
