Devinia Rosa Gutierrez, Age 20, beloved daughter, sister, grand-daughter, niece, and friend, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2015. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on February 8, 1995, to Gilberto and Sandra Gutierrez. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Reynel Valencia and Lorenzo Gutierrez; grandmother Devinia Valenica; and many aunts and uncles. Devinia is survived by her father Gilberto Gutierrez; mother Sandra Gutierrez; brother Lorenzo Gutierrez; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and her dogs Osito, Colitas, and B.B. Devinia graduated from Rio Grande High School in 2013. She was attending CNM where she was studying Psychology and Journalism. Her interests and hobbies include sports, reading, writing, planting, raising and caring for animals, and helping those less fortunate. Devinia was actively involved with the American GI Forum.
Viewing and memorial will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at 6:00 pm at Garcia Mortuary Chapel of Angels, 717 Stover Ave SW, Albuquerque, NM. Service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Albuquerque Bible Church, 320 Montano Rd, NW, Albuquerque, NM at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
