Doanld L. Thomas

THOMAS- Donald L. Thomas, 80, passed away on October 29, 2009. He was born March 15, 1929, in Summum, IL, to Arthur and Winifred Thomas. Don is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Mary Thomas; children, Sharon Holmes (Tony), of East Moline, IL, Donald S. Thomas, of Albuquerque, NM, and Deanne Thomas (Anthony Cantrell), of Albuquerque, NM; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; brother, Milford Thomas (Shirley), of Moline, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Lois Taylor and Doris Chance. Don was a resident of Albuquerque since 1964. He was a member of the International Association of Firer Fighters, as well as a Veteran of the US Army. Don spent many years caring for his mother, and coaching baseball. He enjoyed working in the yard and bowling. His favorite thing in life was spending time with his grandchildren. Don was truly loved and will be deeply missed.
