Funeral services for Dolly Kaye, 84, will be 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 24, at home residence, Pinon. The Rev. Tony Yazzie will officiat.e Burial will be in family land, Pinon. Visitation will follow services. Kaye died Sept. 20, 2010, in Flagstaff. She was born Dec. 6, 1925, in Pinon, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Red Streak in Water People Clan. Kaye was a life resident of Pinon and was a homemaker. She lived her lifelong educated by her elders and the land she called home. She kept the ways of the Dineh life and maintaining her sheep and weaving. Survivors include her son, Julius Kaye of Pinon; daughters, Rena Tsosie of Pinon, Maye Yazzie of Pinon, Mary James of Pinon, Rita Wagoner of Pinon; brother, Charles Hosteen of Blue Gap; sisters, Lilly Scott of Page, Irene Yazzie of Pinon; 27 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren. Kaye was preceded in death by five children; two siblings; 27 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Murry Luckton Jr., Robert Kaye, Clint Tsosie, Elisha Yazzie, Merrol Nutloins.
