Dolores A. Borgelt

Dolores (Dee) Borgelt was called home on the 4th of January 2013, at the age of 79. She was surrounded by her loving family and close friends in her home in Rio Rancho, NM. Dolores was born in St Louis, MO on August 2nd in 1933, to Alois and Helen (Marcus) Huene. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Alois and Helen Huene, her loving husband of 59 years, Ralph E. Borgelt, and her daughter-in-law Veronica Tarango-Borgelt, as well as her Aunt Mary Schmuck-Borgelt and Uncle Lawrence Marcus. Dolores or Dee as most of her friends knew her, was kind and unselfish. Always going out of her way to help others without expecting anything in return. As a wife and mother, Dee enjoyed cooking, always creating new recipes which she would share with her friends and family. She was an accomplished painter with an ability that seemed to bring the painting to life. Dee loved to spend time with those dear to her, playing cards, telling jokes and reminiscing. Dee will always be remembered as a wife, a caring friend, and the grandma that you could always turn to. We miss you very much and will always love you. Dee is survived by her three children, Mark Borgelt, Susan Lucero and Lance Gallegos. Daughter-in-law, Victoria Reyes and a son-in-law Johnny Lucero. Also by four grandchildren Marissa Grace Gallegos, Marian Reyes, Roberto Reyes and Michael Tafoya and one great grandchild Mathayus Fabian Tafoya. Also two brothers David (Barbara) Huene and Aloys (Brenda) Huene. A Memorial Service will be held on January the 11th at 6:00pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 2400 Southern Blvd, Rio Rancho NM.
