Dolores V. Deuel passed away peacefully at her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 18th, 2022 at the age of 81. She was born on August 10th, 1941 in La Costilla New Mexico to Jose E. Vialpando and Teofila Aragon (Vialpando). She received her high school diploma from Our Lady of Sorrows in 1960, and later received her Certificate in Business Office and Occupations from Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute.
Dolores worked for years at Equifax and Credit Bureau of Albuquerque, and volunteered heavily for 2-3 years at Lovelace Hospital. Additionally, Dolores belonged to the Moose Club Auxiliary and was dedicated in her faith as a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She was a collector of Angels and even had a name for her very own “Guardian Angel”, Norman. She had a strong devotion to the Sacred Heart and St. Archangel Michael. She was a kind soul, with a smile that could radiate a room. She was an avid reader, and was part of the Library Club in high school along with Glee Club.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Teofila and Jose Vialpando; and her two sisters, Teresa Larribas and Corrine Lovato.
Dolores is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ross B. Deuel Sr. of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Michelle Deuel Ortiz of Albuquerque, NM; son, Ross Deuel Jr. (Lucie) of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughters, Paige Nolan and Shelby Jones; sisters, Manuelita Aguilar, Josie Hoyle (Hamilton); and brothers, Juan Vialpando (Esther), Leon Vialpondo (Lynette), and Floyd Vialpando (Rose).
To honor her life and faith, a rosary and mass will be held at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church. For service dates and times see information below.
