Dolores Mary Hensley

Dolores Mary Hensley, 84, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on December 27th, 2017 after a long battle with illness.

Born October 26th, 1933, to Merejildo and Anna Baca, in Albuquerque, NM, Dolores, to all who knew her, was a patient and loving individual who devoted her life to taking care of her family. She married Orvil Eugene Hensley in April 1951 after meeting each other while he was stationed at Kirtland Air Force base. They were blessed with two sons and two daughters and after 6 years immersed in the military lifestyle, they moved to Southern California to raise their family.  In 1978, she returned to her hometown of Albuquerque, NM with her husband, Orvil where they raised three of their grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Roseanne Orozco and husband Frank and Jeannie Hubbard and husband Jerry; as well as one sister, Margaret Garcia; 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Orvil Hensley; her two sons, Frank and Robert Hensley; her six sisters, Lena, Virginia, Agnes, Jennie, Carrie, Gloria; her three brothers, Jimmy, Charlie, and Richard; and her great-grandson, Chris Otero.

Dolores always had sincere compassion for others and would welcome anyone into her home with open arms. She was a kind and generous woman who will forever be remembered in our thoughts and prayers and will never be forgotten. 

Our family chain is broken. 

And nothing seems the same. 

But as God calls us one by one. 

The chain will link again.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 08, 2018 at 10:00 am at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Southern Chapel located at 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87124.
