Dolores "Lolo" Garcia

Dolores S. Garcia “Lolo”, 74, of Polvadera, New Mexico passed away on December 3, 2020. Lolo was born in Berino, New Mexico to Francisca Soto Hernandez on April 12, 1946 and was raised by his grandmother, Maria Soto. He was a kind and very giving man who never met a stranger or drove passed anyone in need. He was well known for his superb mechanical abilities, which he loved doing. He loved fishing and hunting and cherished the time he spent with his family and friends while doing those things. Lolo is preceded in death by his grandmother; his mother; brothers, Angel Garcia, Lardy Garcia, Jerry Hernandez; sisters, Connie Hernandez, Mary Hernandez, and Lupe Gonzales. Lolo is survived by his daughters, Barbara Atwood (Chance), Francine Garcia (Felipe), Bernadette Chavez (Orlando); his son, Angel Garcia (Rosalyn); his life partner, Lisa Lamance; his step-daughter, Veronica Padilla; sisters, Esperanza Lucero, Linda Viaza, and his brother, Vicente Hernandez; and his cousin, Sally Nelson. He is also survived by 8 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, 3 great-granddaughters, 1 great-grandson, and many nieces, nephews, and loving friends. A private graveside service will take place on December 15, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Polvadera Catholic Cemetery. The service will be transmitted on a local FM radio station. The station will be announced the day prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Joshua Turrietta, Clayton Atwood, Shayton Atwood, Jadrian Martinez, Angel Garcia Jr., Brandon Garcia, and Christopher Carrillo. Honorary pallbearers are Synthea Carrillo, Aaron Padilla, Freddie Martinez, Don Plank, Paul Lee Castillo, Henry Romero, and Michael Herrera.
