Dolores B. Martinez

MARTINEZ- Maria Dolores Sena Barela de Martinez, age 95, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 3, 2009, at her home, where she was cared for by her devoted daughter Arlene Sue; her grandchildren Daniel and wife Renee; great-grandchildren, Alyssia, Daniel and Carolyn and Kelly; and the special nurses and staff of Amber Care Hospice. Dolores is also survived by more grandchildren, Veronica and husband Max, David and wife Estrellita; great-grandchildren, Reyhanna, Mercedes, Cheyanne, Alisha, Josiah, Liza Marcia and Divina; three brothers, Robert Barela and wife Viola, Wilfred and Ernest Barela; sister-in-law, Erlinda Barela; brother-in-law, Alex Vigil; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Dolores will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband Nick Martinez; son, Nicanor Tenorio Martinez, Jr.; granddaughter, Alisha Michelle Valdez; her mother, Piedad Sena Barela; her father, Eulogio Barela, Sr.; three brothers, Claude, Eulogio Jr., and Eloy Barela; and one sister Viola Barela Vigil. Dolores had a passion for travel, art painting (she was an accomplished painter), cooking, dancing and flowers. She was very proud of her family and always took a special delight in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dolores was a member of the Carmelitas.
