Dolores Edwina Martinez

Martinez, Dolores Edwina Age 89, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday, November 27, 2011, while surrounded by her loving family. Dolores was one of nine children, born in Nacimiento, NM to the late Fermin and Senaida Casaus on April 5, 1922. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Martinez; sons, Leroy and Albert Martinez; brothers, Fermin, Albino and Gilberto; and sister, Rosa Valdez. Dolores will forever be remembered by her devoted sisters, Lila and Carolina; her dedicated children, Katie Nieto and companion Santiago, Christina Fratzola, Cecilia Martinez Howard and husband Ross, Rick Martinez and wife Sylvia, John Martinez and wife Loretta; her beloved grandchildren, Albert, Yvette, Tim, Troy, Jason, Andrea, Leroy, Andres, Daniel, George, Denise, Karen and Monica; 23 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; along with countless other treasured relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 700 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 9502 Fourth Street NW, by her dear friend and neighbor, Rita Jaramillo. Service of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 9:00 also at the Church.
