Don E. Austin

AUSTIN- Don E. Austin, age 76, of Albuquerque passed away on Saturday May 16, 2009. He was born April 01, 1933 in Boston, Massachusetts to Henry W. and Eva Nickerson Austin. Don served in the United States Navy as a Seabee 1951-1955 during the Korean Conflict. He served as a Police Officer for the City Of Albuquerque from 1956-1980. Don enjoyed weightlifting, jogging and taking long rides on his Harley Motorcycle. Don was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Willard Austin, and one grandson Christopher Bartlett. He is survived by his wife Anita Austin of Albuquerque; one son Eric Austin and wife Jessica of Rio Rancho; one daughter Dawn Bartlett and fianc�?©e Paul Piat of Houston, TX; one grandson Dylan Bartlett of Houston, TX; two granddaughters Sarah and Angel Austin of Rio Rancho, NM; one brother David Austin and wife Rita of Hagerstown, MD; one sister Claire Ortero and husband Wilfred of Corrales, NM; and numerous nieces and nephews.
