ORTIZ_Donaciano A. "Chano" Ortiz, 71, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2008. Donaciano was born June 22, 1937 the son of Frank R. and Bernardina Armijo Ortiz in Pecos, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Dean, Tony, and Phillip Ortiz; sister, Rose Almanzar; mother-in-law, Geronima Velasquez; sister-in-law, Alice Ortiz Quintana. Chano is survived by his wife of 45 years, Corrine; daughters, Dinah (Phillip), Roberta Garcia (James); grandchildren, Donald Ortiz (Julie), Brandie Ferrari (Shane); four great grandchildren, special great grandson, Brennen; brother, Frank Ortiz (Carmen); sisters, Carmen Padilla (Larry), Gloria Valdez (Manuel), Bernie Lehman (Sid); sisters-in-law, Diana Treat and Benita Velasquez; brothers-in-law, Joe Velasquez (Carmen), Reggie Velasquez (Donnie), and Ben Velasquez (Yolanda); numerous nieces and nephews.
