Donald Donnie"" Chavez

Chavez, Donald (Donnie) Age 55, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mercie Chavez in 2010. Donald is survived by his father, Justo Chavez, of Corrales, NM; daughter, Sarah Chavez-Gallegos, of Rio Rancho, NM; sisters, Debbie Tafoya and husband Tony, of Corrales, NM, Carmen Chavez, of Rio Rancho, NM, Katie Bessom and husband Steven, of Rio Rancho, NM; Becky Chavez and friend, Darrow Everage, of Corrales, NM; numerous nieces and nephews. My father was a very good man, full of stories and jokes. He always had something to say to put a smile on your face. No matter who you were he would try to make you laugh. I will miss him terribly. I would give anything to hear one last joke. I know he loved me and wished for nothing but great things for me. His other love was the open road on his Harley. He was and always will be a free spirit. I will know when the wind blows he's around and watching over me and his family. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at San Ysidro Catholic Church, Corrales, NM. A Reception will immediately follow in the Parish Hall. Daniels Family Funeral Services
