DONALD LOUIS LUCAS, 83, a resident of Aztec and formally a resident of Alaska passed away Friday, December 5, 2008 at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington. Don was born April 20, 1925 in Alhambra, California the son of Robert Livingston Lucas and Marie Caroline (Lamp) Lucas. Don was a commercial fisherman in Alaska, surveyor and gold miner. He served his country in US Army during WWII. as a flight officer/pilot and completed flight training while there. Don will greatly missed by all his family and friends. Don was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth M. Lucas. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Don is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dixie Rose Lucas of Aztec; son David Lucas and wife Ruth of Chugiak, Alaska; daughter Laura Diane Maccabee and husband George of Anchorage, Alaska; daughters, Linda Harrison and husband Marion of Farmington, Lorrie Lynch of Reno, Nevada, Christy Lillywhite and husband Dwayne of Aztec, and son Dr. Thomas Kramer of Lexington, Kentucky. Don was also blessed with 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Dwayne Lillywhite, Tom Kramer, Marion Harrison, Jon Lillywhite, Justin Lillywhite, Matthew Harrison, and Jay Ruiz. Services for Don are entrusted to:
