Donald Paul Mannino, 64, of Bloomfield, died on Monday, Dec. 20, 2010, in Farmington. He was born Feb. 12, 1946, in Manitowoc, Wis., to Frank and Monica (Vondrachek) Mannino. Don served in the Air Force and went to school in Denver, Colo. He was a truck driver and owned HM Trucking in Bloomfield. Don was loved by so many and was always kind to everyone. He was known as "Uncle Dude" by his nieces and nephews, and also known as "Turtle" by his friends. He thought the world of each and every one of them. Don owned Diamond Entertainment and enjoyed karaoke. He also loved going to auctions. He loved his family and friends and our hearts are broken. We will miss him. His two best buddies, Shadow and Petie, also will miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents and his brother, Skip Mannino. He is survived by Helen Mannino, his wife of 35 years; daughter, Elizabeth Hicks; and sisters, Alvie (Rick) Nelson of Arvada, Colo., and JoAnn (Jack) Raleigh of Vero Beach, Fla. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. in Farmington. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Moon officiating. Interment will be at Bloomfield Community Cemetery.
