Donald G. Osmunson

OSMUNSON_Donald G. Osmunson, 84, was welcomed into the arms of our glorious Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2009. Donald was born March 9, 1924 the son of Jacob R. and Leta Webley Osmunson in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. He entered into the United States Marine Corp in 1943 where he was a Corporal serving in the South Pacific during World War II. Don was a mortician for 30 years and practiced in both Algoma, Wisconsin and Longmont, Colorado. He retired to Houston, Texas in 1983, where he and his wife Lois Osmunson resided until her death in 1987. In 2004, Don moved to Rio Rancho, NM. He spent the remaining years of his life with family, enjoying the beautiful Sandia mountains. Don was loved by many and will be missed by all. Don is survived by his five children, David Osmunson, Gail VanCleave, Jill Osmunson, Paul Osmunson, and Nancy Savinelli; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Jamie Osmunson, Amber Navarro, Lauren Kinnard, Dominic Savinelli, Paula Osmunson, Samantha Osmunson, Curt VanCleave, Katie Osmunson, Olivia Kinnard, and Darius Osmunson-Johns. He is also survived by his younger sister, Carol Nieft of Green Bay, WI, and her two children, Michael and Nancy.
