Donald George Tailby

Donald Tailby, 95, passed away on Oct 20, 2023. He was born in New Jersey on October 15, 1928 and grew up there. He earned a PhD from Rutgers University and was an economics professor at Lehigh University, the University of Georgia and the University of New Mexico. He also worked a short time for USAID in Bolivia. He is preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Beverly. He is survived by his son, Craig Tailby and daughter Roxanne Campbell and her husband Gaylord, two grandchildren, Juliette Ferguson, and Tanner Campbell and two great grandchildren. He had a lifelong love of learning. was an avid hiker, cross country skier and traveler. He was a long time member of the New Mexico Mountain Club and cherished his many friendships made through those adventures. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
