Donna DeLue

DELUE- Donna DeLue, 76, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away on December 27, 2009. She is survived by her husband, Leonard; her son Leonard Jr.; daughters, Diana DeLue and Leslie Kibbee and her husband Mike. Donna is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Mike Kibbee Jr., Tracy Kibbee, Joe Kibbee and Bryan Kibbee; as well as her sister, Pat Carroll; and many nephews and nieces. She was born October 8, 1933, in Louisville, KY. Her father was a flight surgeon and hospital administrator in the Air Force, serving in many localities, and subsequently in private practice. Her mother, Denella was a homemaker. As a result, Donna attended many schools both in the United States and Tokyo, Japan. Her college years were spent at the University of Colorado. It was here that she pledged Chi Omega Sorority and was a continuous supporter of the Chi Omega Alumni Association both in Colorado and New Mexico. Donna was an avid skier and golfer. She was a long time member of Four Hills Country Club and Tanoan Country Club. In her younger days she managed to win the Fontinelle Club Championship in Bellevue, Nebraska (very lucky). She has also been active in many organizations including the Los Amapolis Garden Club, Albuquerque Symphony Guild, Assistance League of Albuquerque, Chi Omega Alumni, Red Hats, and was the director of the Arts and Crafts Fair of New Mexico at one time. In addition to many other activities, Donna was an inspiration as a wife, mother, and friend. She was an animal lover, who always kept the birdies fed in Sandia Heights.
