Donovan Jones

Donovan Jones died July 13, 2011, in Phoenix, Arizona. Jones was born July 11, 1979, in Fort Defiance, Arizona. Jones was born into the Bitter Water People Clan and he was born for the Coyote Pass People. Jones spent his childhood in Chinle, Arizona. He graduated from Sherman Indian School in Riverside, California. Jones was a certified electrician. He was an artist, bullrider, carpenter. Jones broke and trained horses, he was a wrestler, cross-country runner, football player and he loved cooking. Jones favorite pastime was spending time with his children. Survivors include his sons, D'Andre Xander Jones and Casey Rey Jones; daughters, Summer Paige Yazzie; parents, Edison J. Jones and Donna M. Roan; brothers, Garrick Jones and William Attson Jr.; sisters, Daniel Jones, Sandrea Roan, Natalyn Jones, Sasha Attson and Kelsey Smith; and grandparents Mary R. Yazzie and Elvan Roan (Maternal) and Bahe and Sarah Jones (Paternal). Jones was preceded in death in Great Grandmother, Eva Desbah and Grandpa Francis Babcock. Pallbearers will be Daren Holiday, Felix Benally, John James, Annan Maxfield, Jackson Clark and Darrell Holiday. The family will receive relatives and friends at Redwood Housing #27 at 6pm.
