Dora Black Munster, 94, of Farmington, New Mexico passed peacefully from this life on Friday, July 23, 2010 and is once again with her family and friends who have gone on before. Dora was born August 26, 1915 in Beaver, Utah to Edna and William Black. She married Bernard Frank Munster in 1935 in Salt Lake City. They farmed and began their family in Delta Utah. In 1957 they moved to Farmington. Bernie and Dora loved the beauty of the New Mexican landscape. They spent hours driving through the desert. Dora enjoyed ceramics, a good book and collecting rocks. She will be remembered for growing tomatoes and giant sunflowers. She found great satisfaction reading to children and was very talented with a quilting needle and a crochet hook. Everyone looked forward to a meal at grandma’s house. She was a dedicated genealogist and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Pauline Corzine. She is survived by her son, Jerold H. Munster of Colorado; daughters Kathy Munster and Barbara Burrell, and her son- in- law Ray Corzine of New Mexico. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A viewing will be held Monday, July 26, 2010 at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 East Ute Street in Farmington from 5-7pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 1310 East 25th St. in Farmington 1st Ward Chapel, with Steve Nygren conducting. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 East Main St. in Farmington. Pallbeares are Dora's grandsons and great grandsons: Arthur Gardner, Brixton Gardner, Ryan Henderson, Joseph Andrews, Bryant DeWees, Wayne Munster and AJ Motes. Honorary pallbearers are Joe Lubbers, Douglas Osborn - nephews; Thomas Burrell, grandson, Ray Corzine, son-in-law, Jerold Munster, son; Ernie Schwalick, grandson, and Bill Johnson, great-nephew.
