Doris Hale

HALE- Doris Hale, 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 22, 2010. She is survived by her children Lorene (Douglas) Smithers, of Clovis, NM, Karen Cooper (Ray Baca), of Albuquerque, NM, and Kenneth (Dawn) Hale, of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren, Cody, Dustin and Jason Hale; brother, Gordon Airs, of Scotland. Doris was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Robert James Hale, in 2000; sister, Betty Rowley and brother Eric Airs, of Scotland; and her son, Gordon Wayne Hale. She was a resident of New Mexico for almost 60 years. Doris was also a member of First Christian Church of Clovis & she volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Doris was a resident of Clovis Rehab and Albuquerque Rehab for some time. She came to America, arriving in Belen, later moving to Clovis, marring Robert, and raising a family there. Doris became a US citizen in 1990, boasting a 100% on the test. She was a dear friend and mother, with a grateful heart.
