Doris Penny"" Ray

RAY - Doris P. "Penny" Ray, 89, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2011. She was born in Swedesboro, NJ, on November 15, 1921. Penny relocated from Westport , CT six years ago to be near her family in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Linton G. Ray; parents, Elsie and Alfred Pfennig; two brothers, Ralph and Herbert Pfennig. Penny is survived by two step daughters, Sara Lee Mollo (Mike), of Bloomsburg, PA and Georgia Blanton (Olin), of Greenville, SC; and step son, Terry Ray. Also surviving Penny are three nieces, Stephanie Walti (Michael), of Albuquerque, Joan Maine (Bill), of Mountlake Terrace, WA, IL, Roberta Mc Glinn, of Crystal Lake, IL; sister-in-law, Theresa Pfennig, of Mountlake Terrace, Wa. Penny's family would like to also acknowledge her companion, Aminah Ali Salim, of Albuquerque, who made her final years so comfortable. Cremation will take place with private disposition at a later date. No services are planned at her request. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to a charity of your choice.
