Dorothy Jean Connolly

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Connolly, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Dorothy passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024, at the age of 82. 

Dorothy was a vibrant, social butterfly who enjoyed traveling. Dorothy's life was marked by her love for her family and her friends. She was the proud mother of Jimmy, Peggy, and Kori, mother-in law to Denise & Frank and the grandmother of Joshua, Sharon, Jonathan, Danielle, Michael, and McKenzi. Dorothy's legacy extends further through her great-grandchildren: Blake, Jackson, Sadie, Margaret, James, Micah, Savannah, Teddy, and Travis.

One of seven siblings born in Teaneck, N.J., she is survived by her beloved sister Margaret. Throughout her life, Dorothy was known for her work ethic and her time spent working in New York City. In her later years, Dorothy decided to move to New Mexico, where she could be closer to her children and grandchildren. Dorothy’s legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed.

A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held on December 12, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Church of the Incarnation Catholic Church, located at 2709 Monterrey Rd., Rio Rancho, NM 87124, followed by a ceremony at Vista Verde Memorial Park, 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
